Are you really what you eat?

We are all aware of the growing trend for us as individuals to be more health conscious coupled with the ongoing debate surrounding sustainability of meat-based and plant-based diets and the environment.

Documentaries such as ‘the game changers’, ‘cowspiracy’ and ‘live and let live’ all argue the benefits of plant-based diets for our health. However, can a balance of both plant and meat based diets be the answer if consumed in moderation?

There are plenty of heath words and topical questions floating around. As for yourself, what do you know about: nutrient intake, animal vs. plant based protein, vitamin supplements, protein and protein quality, what works best for strength training and maximising muscle mass? What are the effects on blood pressure and heart rate, illnesses and diseases? Are current food production and consumption patterns sustainable for our environment?

All of this information and more will be provided here and discussed at our members blog. Let’s all begin to learn more about optimal health and diet alternatives together.
